Hi!

My name is Lauren Cabrera. I am originally from New Hampshire, but moved to Saipan in 2012 as a young registered nurse. I stayed for nearly a year, then returned to the mainland to become a nurse practitioner. I then completed a fellowship in palliative care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, worked for a year in Washington state, and then moved to Guam in 2018 where I worked as a hospitalist!

After a few years, I married a physician from Saipan, started a family, and co-founded a dog rescue called Boonie Flight Project. We moved back to Saipan in 2022 and I started a non-profit animal health clinic. I’m heading to veterinary school in the fall with a scholarship that will require me to work there for EIGHT YEARS after graduation. But.. that doesn’t bother me. I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else! My husband describes his work at the hospital as the best job he’s ever had, and my family loves it here.

Got questions? Reach out, I’m happy to chat.
